New Year’s Eve Celebrations For The Whole Family

There are so many fun ways to ring in the New Year. We’ve had an amazing 2014, and our team members are thankful to ring in 2015 with family and friends. We thought we’d share some of our favorite ways to celebrate New Year’s Eve – family style.

    Pancake Party

Not everyone can stay awake for the ball drop, especially if you have little ones. If you’re celebrating with friends and neighbors, we love the idea of dressing up – in your fanciest pajamas, perhaps – and cooking breakfast for dinner. You can add mimosas and sparkling cider, and everyone can bring an ingredient to keep it pot-luck style. Best of all, you can make a pallet for any sleepy kiddos while grown ups gather in a separate room.

    Game Night

Give a twist to game night, and have everyone come dressed up as a favorite character from a treasured game (like Clue). Play the familiar board game in teams, with a variety of other, perhaps easier, games for the little ones. Game night goes well with homemade pizza, or even a smorgasbord of hearty snacks! It’s a cost-effective way to come together, and the family-friendly activities are sure to keep everyone entertained.

    Crafty Celebration

If you’re a family, or group of friends who are like a family, and you’re big into arts and crafts, this is a great way to ring in the New Year. Set up various stations throughout the house of different crafting events. Bonus points if you set a theme – like if each station has a tie in to resolutions or memories from the past year. You can even make a craft station in the kitchen for organizing food and snacks (and beverages – a new 2015 martini creation, anyone?)

If you’re looking for New Year’s eve celebrations for the whole family, we hope you’ll consider one of our favorites. Or, check out this great list with a variety of family-friendly options!
